In its role as a charitable and educational organization, Clan Carmichael USA periodically offers scholarship grants for studies or research at accredited four-year universities. While applicants from all fields are welcome, preference is given to studies related to Scottish heritage and culture.

The Chief Richard Carmichael Memorial Scholarship honors the late Chief Richard Carmichael, whose decades of dedicated stewardship preserved and shared the history of Clan Carmichael worldwide. His lifelong commitment to learning and cultural preservation continues to inspire this award, which supports students who embody curiosity, scholarship, and service.
